Is John McCain wearing a HeroBracelet?

We got a call this morning saying they thought John McCain was wearing a HeroBracelet on The Tonight Show last night. So we looked around and found a clip on YouTube that shows the bracelet and it looks like he is wearing the bracelet. We know that twice President Bush has been presented HeroBracelets by the mothers of lost soldiers. Check out the clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmo8B8Eo-Hw&mode=user&search=<

Remembering LCpl Brian C. Hopper.

My name is Rob Hopper and I have been wearing one of your bracelets for over two years now in honor of my son, U.S. Marine Lcpl Brian C. Hopper, KIA 01/26/05. I would like to share some of his life with you. Brian had complete knee reconstruction while he was in high school. He went to two different Marine recruiters in Arkansas and he would tell them about his knee and they would tell him that he couldn't join the marines due to his knee surgery. Brian crossed the Mississippi River and went...

The Walk.

It was a May day like any other as we pulled into the poorly fortified Traffic Police Headquarters compound. We parked in our usual spots and the squad leader rallied us around him. He had a BOLO (Be on the lookout) list in his hand, and we were to check license plates in the adjacent parking lot against it. He needed about half the squad; I was one of them. It was about a 100 meter walk between the parking lot and our location in north Baghdad. In our way was small market, but a crowded ...

Thank you for the memorial bracelets.

Our church youth group ordered 25 of your memorial bracelets last week and they arrived yesterday. They are a very beautiful memorial tribute and we think a fitting way to remember our American soldiers lost in battle. We have vowed to pray for the soldiers families daily and the memorial bracelets are a wonderful reminder. We're also glad that buying HeroBracelets makes a donation to the Fallen Heroes Fund. Thank you for making this possible. Pastor Rick Salem Houston,

The Boots.

The Boots. It was near the end of the day, most of the booths and conference rooms were empty as I made my way back into the heart of the convention to look for a friend. Only a few people remained in the cluttered hallway: some were talking amongst themselves; others were packing up books, fliers, and packets. One man was alone in the middle of the hallway and I immediately saw that I would most likely have to walk around him. He was a tall man, taller than me at least, with curly black h...

In memory of Capt. Das and Maj. Watkins.

Hello my name is David Dustin Henry. I am a Staff Sergeant in the USAF. I received one of your HeroBracelets from my Mom for Christmas. I wear the bracket now in honor of my fall-in aircrew. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, I launched my aircraft 88-1694 for the first time with Capt. Eric "Boots" Das and Maj. William "Salty" Watkins. I had performed major hydraulic maintenance on the aircraft the day prior. I launched the jet on that night the same way I did during the entire war but their j...

UF's Baldry a real-life hero

The memory of a fallen soldier stays with Derek Baldry, a walk-on tight end at UF who, as an Army sergeant, searched the mountains of Afghanistan for terrorists. GAINESVILLE -- One member of the University of Florida football team wears a bracelet to remember the life of a fallen soldier. It's a simple thing. Metallic black in color, the band is a reminder: a memory of a friend, a memory of scouring the mountains of Afghanistan searching for al Qaeda, a glimpse into the past of the Gators' re...
